The directory that I maintain is nowhere near comprehensive. Since I don't have the time or money to maintain
a professional-level directory, be sure to check out the links category for more sites.
Within each group below, the links are sorted alphabetically by title or by the name of the owner.
Some of them also have a brief description with their listing. Some of the descriptions are briefer than others,
not because one site is any better than another but just because I don't have enough time to write detailed descriptions for all of them.
Please note that I am not accepting submissions for new links at this time. I will post here when I am accepting new links again. Thank you.
Most of the category names are pretty self-explanatory (or at least I hope they are), but here's a more detailed description of them:
- Information
- General : resources for all aspects of coin collecting, including advice for beginners, FAQ sheets, links lists, and more
- American : the history of specific American coins
- Ancients : the history of ancient coins, including Greek, Roman, Byzantine, Indian, and many others
- Appraisals : companies or individual dealers who will do appraisals
- Auctions : both auction companies and personal pages of auction listings
- Banknotes : the history and images of banknotes from anywhere in the world
- Bi-Metallic : coins that have an outer ring with a different metal composition than the center (such as the 1 euro)
- Books : booksellers and pages for a particular book
- Bullion : pages with information on bullion coins from around the world
- Clubs and discussion forums: includes the sites for actual clubs in different cities, as well as online bulletin boards and email discussion lists
- Commemoratives : both state mint and privately issued coins
- Conversion : currency converters between up to 180 different countries' currencies
- Errors : off-center strikes, etc.
- Euro : descriptions of the different country designs, history of the euro, etc.
- Exonumia : tokens, medals, etc.
- Gold : both bullion and coins from circulation
- Grading : what factors graders look at to determine a coin's grade, dealers who do grading, grading companies
- Links : other lists of coin-related links
- Magazines : also includes trade journals, price sheets, and newsletters
- Mints : national and private
- Museums : either museums devoted entirely to money or specific exhibits related to coins
- Personal pages : trade lists, personal collections, etc

- Shows : lists of coin shows and the websites for specific shows

- Banknotes : paper money from anywhere in the world
